your master cylinder is shot, brakes need bled, cv axles are shot, hole in ur back bumper, rust starting to form, your an automatic, you have no money, i burn 4 quarts of oil in 1000 miles, and u cant get ahold of someone because they are too poor to afford a phone so I can't get my insurance money

not going to upgrade the car ... the worse part is im trying to save up and sell it! i want a 5sp so badly and this is going to kill me ... maybe I can get a little more resale for it, but blowing $400 on this just isnt my idea also I have 1 more month til im 18 and can get a real job .. being 17 just sucks because no one can hire u cuz of insurance purposes anyone know places that pay good / good hours?

look at me for example...
im 21, got a 15 mth old son.. live in an apt by myself. and pay 565
have car insurance, cable modem, telephone, electric, home gas, groceries... all this bills and even another kid comming in 5 weeks... i only have 1 job 40hrs @ 8.15 an hr... so far i havent been late in any payment.... its rough for me since i am by myself.... and i even squeeze time for my car.... i am very frustated sometimes, but i only think about getting better..... just be positive....

 

man i know how you feel , for a while it was downhill . when i thought the i was at the bottom it went down some more, my teg was problem after problem till it blew up, so after a long time with out a car i endend up getting my ef, could drive it cuz no money for insurance for like 2 months, two days on the road with it, it gets smashed.. spent the last of my money to fix it. ...... but its good now

Try getting your car fixed by someone and in return do work / a job for him.. most garages like to have a website but don't know jack **** about how/what.. are you any good in programming?

 

I know how it feels to be 17 and shitty job. I cant find a job anywhere because im not 18.

I left school because i just moved here but they set me back 2 years because of credit differences. Now i learned my license was cancelled b/c i dropped out. Found out by getting pulled over last nice and arrested for driving w/ cancelled license, car impounded and now its like a 500 dollar fine.

Meanwhile i cant get my license back w/o getting a job and working 24 hrs a week........but there are 0 jobs to be had in this damn city w/o being 18.

On a side note, this state is so fucked up you cant go to court for a speeding ticket without having a parent with you. 7 mos to go b/c im 18 and god it cant come any sooner.

I get so pissed when I hear(Crap TV shows) all these multi million dollar stars(W. Houston, etc...) bitch about having it so bad and not getting any respect and never give back to the people that bought their music(I could go on and on). Just watch ET daily show, it makes me sick. The whole holywood scene is so immoral, they have no concept on what a relationship or marriage is.

And hard working people like you and others always seeing the glass half full(not empty), and really you are showing what Really is important in Life!

I commend you on being so responsible in a tough situation(others may see it tough, you probably don't).

When I am CEO of a company some day, I will be hiring people like you, and pay well. A person that looks at the whole picture, not out for just himself, that gives and helps others.

My Parents were the best and worked their a** off for the five(brothers)of us.(We were a middle class family, not upper middle class)

At times, I slump in a stuper and feel sorry for myself(not enough money to do some of the things I want to do). I really have no right to since I have all my limbs and am healthy(worked in hospital for yrs), and really, I have everything I need. This is very selfish thinking on my part.


So, when we think we have it bad somtimes, go volunteer at your local soup kitchen or serve as avolunteer hospice worker. You will realise how good we have it and be thankful.

Didn't mean to get so long and deep. I just think it is important to remember what is really important.

We are here due to love of cars, especially 4g hondas, so lets try to help everyone here, and have fun doing it(I am a big joker also!).

Well im 19, live in Dallas TX, and have no money for myself. I have 2 CRX's, one I still am making payments on cause my toher one got stolen then recovered, got 150 worth of liability insurance, numerous tickets, and working at kroger, getting abouit 20 hours a week, at 5.40 stocking dairy ****. I have to pay my cell phone bill, car insurance, and car payment. And literally have not a dollar for me each week.

 

I have the tiiiitest part time job--Fri, Sat, and Sun, 4:30-11:30, doing valet parking---I get 8 an hr. + tips---I made 145 in tips last night, but average is @ 100, plus the hourly---the average is 400 a weekend! Plus I drive people TT's, Benz'z, and riced-out honda's all night. U guys just have to find the right job.---stocking dairy for 5.40 an hr. is degrading---but u gotta do what u have to.

 

**** is so bad i cant even find a job flipping burgers. But that is a tight job, valet. Wait till someone brings up a porsche 911 or ferrari 355 modena

flipping burgers was my teen-year job. made roughly 400-500 every two weeks. it wasn't that bad, but coming home smelling like a burger every night sure does suck.

man .. why complaining about money for your car? why dont you try moving out and living completely on your own and still tryin to build a car. if you still live at home then you got it made bro. even if your parents charge you a little rent it aint no thing. just be happy in knowing that it could always be alot worse.

How did you manage to get a job valet parking?

 

heh I'm only 17 and I work at a Honda dealership. I just take car of the used vehicle section 4 days a week (mon-thurs - 4:30 or 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm) and saturday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. I average about $400-500 a paycheck which isn't to bad considering I'm still in school. To bad tho man.. wish I could help you out in some way.. cause we are lookin for another lot guy to help me out (even tho my job consists of mainly picking-up/droping off honda's at various dealerships) :D

How did I "manage"---newspaper ad for parking attendent---I do weddings, restaurants, parties, so and and so forth---the least I get tipped per car is 2 bux, and the average amount of cars per night is 80---u do the math---my company is Jersey based but we are in Staten Island, Manhattan and Queens----too bad ur upstate. The house parties are the best since I park the cars down the street, and leave a lil' rubber while I'm at it.....the fastest car I've beaten was a 64 G.T.O.-----holy **** that ****** moves---the best is when the owners come out drunk and ask to see there car floored....uh...ok!!!
