question for those running CM stage 4
So my question is, how is this clutch for daily driving? its being installed in my R right now, however i started wondering how it would engage for daily driving...my friend was running a stage 5<for like a month> and it would not slip at all. it was either all or nothing on take off...could anyone give me a little preview of what it will be like drving with the stage 4? thanks guys...
I have it on my B16, and I daily drive it with no problems. The engagement is somewhat on/off but nothing that you can't get used to. After a week or so of driving it around it absolutely not a problem. Seeing as you have more tq than I do, it should be even less of a problem for you.
Just some of my thoughts so far- I tried to do the 500 mile break in and only made 350 before I started getting on it and shifting hard, IMO getting on it and shifting hard helped. The clutch engagement feels much smoother than when I was babying it. Basically it almost seemed like it needed a couple hard launches break in.

I think this is a great clutch. Although at the beggining you'll experience some shattering, especially at low speeds. However, that you'll get used to. And once the clutch engages,
it's great. It's <U>not</U> one of those hard clutches in which you need to workout your legs for.
I'm personnaly happy with the CM Stage 4 clutch.

I recently installed a CM stage IV clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, re-surfaced ITR flywheel, and 3 qt. Honda MTL. I now have about 1500 miles on my stage IV and I couldnt be happier, positive engagement with no slippage at all, yet pedal pressure is not much harder than stock.
