Can i fit 88-91 si seats into my 99 civic? I heard that they will work fine, is that right?

If it's a stupid question then me but why would you want to put those seats in a 99?

 

the 99 civic seats feel like your sitting on pillows....

the 88-91 si seats (in my opinion) are much more firm and offer more side support......

I'm pretty sure you can fabricate the seats to fit...

Remeber a Guy put S2000 seats in his EG He even posted the pics of it

He said that all Honda's Have some similar base plate and you can undo them and put ur car's plate that has the right bolt patern or something like that

my friend tried to do that but instead he took 99 seats and put them into 88-91 crx..and he couldn't do it..anyone help him out lead him in the right direction? thanks

 

I wanted to swap seats between my '89 CRX Si and '00 CX because 96-00 Civic seats are POS. I heard those older heavlily bolstered Si seats were made by Recaro or real similar to them. But too bad it's not a swap without modification, so I flaked.

 

Correct, they are Recaros. And they are indeed much more comfortable, and much more supportive. Big shoulder bolsters 0wn!

i got a set for free from a friend that totaled his CRX. i tried to think of a way to put them in my 99CX but some guy told me that i will have to customize them. so i jus sold them for $100
