did a search but no info about what i wanted was there... hope this threat will help in theh future..

today i got a hold of a set of JDM EF9 Sidemarkers.,..
i am looking at it and seems that there should be quite a big hole done into the fenders in order to fit them...
i know theres a few people here that has this markers like EF-LSVTEC and some others..
my question its or better said i want some tips on the installation of these...
i want some tips since it looks that i have to do a pretty big hole to install them.. about 1"x2"
and i dont want rust to start developing on that area... if u have real EF sidemarkers u know what i mean.... also if i have them i was going to ask if theres a R and a L.. bc they seem to have the same design.... ill post pics up as soon as my webcam stops being a B%^&H here we go then

i used a dremel instead of a puncher. just make sure to take your time and gradually make the hole bigger and bigger until the sidemarkers fit nice and flush. i used some brush-on paint from walmart on the fresh cut metal and i havent seen any signs of rust yet.
i wired them to one of my corner light bulbs.[your choice if you want them to glow&blink or just blink] i took out my clear corner, added some wire to the stock corner wires, and my frend used a coat hanger to feed the wire to me through the fender. it wasnt that hard at all and id say it took about 4 hrs of work.

i can actually look at EF pics i got in order to get them to look as good as it did stock on Japan.... but u by any chance have the measurements it supposed to be sittin at from the door and stuff??
BTW its funny how G2ic.com has EF sidemarkers on the first pic and then has EG sidemarkers on the final product pic...

HTH. i kind of just guessed where to put em, since i have a 4dr i looked over HybridEF2's pics a couple of times but when i installed em i just put them where i thought would look good. they came out to be in pretty much exactly the same place as stock JDM so i was happy. but yeah just search for some pics of JDM front ends to get an idea then go for it when youre comfortable. just remember, go easy with the dremel

 

what we did was make a 3x5 card and cut the slot into it to fit the side marker snug. We made it so the distance would be measured off of the fender where it met the door and the top of the molding on the fender. Take a sharpie and trace on the inside of the slot you made on the 3x5 onto the fender. use a dremel to drill in the corner and the rest of the slot. flip the car and repeat fot the other side.

To run the speaker wire, you have to take off the plastic in the wheewell and run it behin it and connect the correct wires. I forget which wire goes to what, but one went to the turn signal and the other I guess goes to a relay. I know this isn't very in depth, I didn't read the post above. you can see where mine ended up

 

i have a set of EF8 fenders in my back yard remind me tomarrow and ill mesure the height and distance but if im not mistaken its like 3 inches up and 3 inches in from the molding and door respectively.....i used a cuting disc air tool on my fenders i have a set of EF9 ones sitting around and the jdm civic/teg ones the more round ones on my car now the ef9 ones dont fit itn the same hole or they would be on instead.....goood luck man i also used my corner light for the side marker since the jdm corners have no signal

 

UPDATE:
today i managed to get my JDM SiR sidemarkers installed on my 90 STD
thanxs to sleepingef2, ricodemus, JDMB16Ahatch, and all of u that helped me tru getting the sidemarkers in...
look within the next few days for an update on my webpage on a step by step of how to install them.... process only took me 2.25 hrs... bc it was 22 deg outside and i froze my butt.... they look as close as posible as it can be to a real JDM location.... thanxs again and hope this post helps for any fellas in the future...

 

If anybody wants them I can send them cuz I shaved them !

Crazy why you want them cuz I think they are hidious.. perhaps because they are stock in Europe
