Opinions wanted please.....
I have Spoon header and carsound cat i'm about to put on and am using a comptech cat-back exhaust. I'm tossing up in the air of either keeping the Comptech B-Pipe and Buying the Spoon N1 axle back and saving some money, or Sell the whole Comptech system and save up for a T1R or Fujitsubo...what do you guys think?
Keep the comptech, see how it is after installing the header and cat. Get it dynoed. Then if you get some loot, go for the spoon b pipe or fujitsubo and then get that dynoed. keep the one that is best, sell the other.
EDIT: I would imagine the difference, if any, wouldnt be HUGE and maybe hardly noticable, hence you would just be wasting money. Could be wrong though.

What is it you don't like about the Comptech?
I wouldn't bother putting on a new muffler for the comptech unless you feel that you just cant live w/ the comptech muffler. 2.5" piping would be awsome but as long as the cat back doesn't bottle neck your system then you should be good to go.
I don't mind the comptech tip at all, it's rather nice and looks great when polished, but I just wish it sat flush with my rear bumper, which I'm sure I could modify to my likings. I'm just wondering what the advantage would be of the Spoon axle back mounted to the Comptech B-Pipe or if I should just invest in a T1R or Fujitsubo...I'd love the Hytech system but don't want to throw that kind of money down.

Maybe you could coerce (sp?) Chris into letting you bolt up his exhaust for some dyno comparisons. Why spend money on the same mod twice?

I am happy with my T1R exhaust. I gained 7whp/5wtq with the exhaust. downside is that it's really loud.

Nate, you can't use my fujitsubo on your car.

Only problem is getting the axleback off da kaa when you are up on the dyno. Without the car jacked off the ground, there is little/no room in order to get it off your car. Oh well, we'll manage.

tank j00...after I get the header and cat on we'll setup a dyno day and do some comparisons. I'll buy you a

Nate, I do not know how much of a difference there will be between your comptech and my fujitsubo, but there's got to be some. especially with your nicely flowing new header, i'd say there will be a difference. We'll try it out sometime soon.
Can't help you till I have my car back, which is now tuesday. :sigh: I'm getting very impatient.

Mine has no bottle necks, and you know you like how it sounds. A little quiet for you, mr. wild and crazy 22 yr old. Get the T1R, but test my fujitsubo vs your comptech just to see.
nate-
my opinion is that you are very good looking.
whoops, wrong thread.
anyways, i say keep the comptech. yours looks 15993049243094 times better than my "comptech" exhaust. if you must, swap out the axle back for a spoon n1... you heard what it sounded like on my hatch - i loved it.
in terms of "bottlenecks" i dont think any of us are putting down enough power to have to worry about them. bottlenecks have very minimal effects on power until we are talking about hi-power NA apps. we're all running stock cams and stock compression... (with the exception of mugenmike) so i dont think bottlenecks are a big deal. i say dont spend the $$ unless you have to...
as for me, i would love to get a spoon n1 but my new apt is finished this month, which means death on my bank account for all the stupid move-in and mortgage fees. my car might still be stock come this spring
