New HKS headlight bulbs just got em!!!!!!!!!
i just wanted to tell you about the new HKS headlight bulbs i just put them on my car and i wanted to say that there very nice and crystal clear. I think that they are the closest bulbs to that HID look. Anyone else got these bulbs?? I u want a set of bulbs i recommend these ones cause they are bright and clear you wont be disappointed.
what other bulbs have you used before?? i have used a lot and have good amount of knowledge about them but i have'nt seen the HKS in action. so i am wondering if you can compare them to some of your other bulbs etc. man i feel like such a ricer =[
Are these bulbs coated with a "color"?
Most afterarket bulbd I've seen have some kin dof coating on them and lose atleast 15% light over OEM stock (Even PIAAs)...
PIAAs cost Almost $200 CDN and you lose light over stock...
How much are the HKS and has anyone tested them?"

55W = 120W... what a crock, what the hell does that mean anyway?
HID headlights only draw 35W in the first place. Wattage is a measure of power consumption, not light output. I laugh in the face of all bulbs with those kinds of claims on the package.
HKS Hi-Power bulbs emit a 120W bright white beam for an HID look.

sorry, wattage is not any sort of measure of light output. Stock 9006 draws 55W nominal (actually 51W) and puts out ~1000 lumens. Regular 9005 draws 65W nominal (actually 60W) and puts out ~1700 lumens. 4300K HID draws about 35W and puts out ~3200 lumens. You cannot use wattage to measure light output. It's like trying to use liters or cubic inches to describe the power output of an engine, it just doesn't work.
where did you get them from, how much did they cost and what is the light from them like?
I always considered HKS as a company that made performace parts/electronics for JDM cars, i cant imagine them actaully testing/producing bulbs, more than likely theyre just a generic brand with HKS packaging. i got tired buying these so called HiD look bulbs, they were all the same, basically... crap lighting, very short life and fancy packaging. stick with OEM and you wont go wrong. I still have in the origianl bulbs that came in my car from the factory in 1994, they still give a reasonably good light, they dont shatter after 3 weeks and they cost **** all to buy!

nothign can compare to real HID's
not even those bulbs. consider getting HID's
after your bulbs blow. time and time again.

PatrickGSR94 has got the right info. To those who want the xenon bulbs, come back and post results when your lamps start cracking or melting from the "High watttage" bulbs.
Don't believe the packaging when they say HID look. Looks nothing like HID

If these are anything like the typical garbage headlamp bulbs I see for sale, you wasted your money. Color is nothing in headlamps. Your eye is not as sensitive to blues and purples, which is why those fake-HID headlamp bulbs do nothing (it is actually most sensitive to yellows and greens). The reason HID is so much better than an incandescent bulb is because it throws roughly 3 times the light (lumens) on the road.
If you want good headlamp bulbs, try the Sylvania XtraVisions ($13) or the Silverstars ($25).
EDIT: I see the box says 55w->120w. Sorry folks, but a 55w bulb is 55w. PIAA pulls the same crap. A 55w bulb cannot put out 120w of light. Wattage is irrelevant to light output anyways, lumens is where the money is.
