Default Those with Rota wheels, inspect them

There was a recent autocross near Houston TX in which this happened:

http://home.att.net/~blairphoto/scca.html

And here is a thread on the Miata forums discussing the occurence:

http://www.miataforum.com/ubb/ultima...c;f=3;t=006321

Now this doesn't mean you should automatically hate Rota wheels and think their quality sucks. This just one freak occurence, but you should still probably inspect your wheels. That thread above discusses ways to inspect the wheels. I am posting this in other forums that might have many users running Rota wheels.

Thanks for the heads up! I have three sets of slipstreams right now, all in my room, and no signs of the cracking they were talking about on the miata board. That wouldn't be a fun ride! Doesn't look like we have to much to worry about running considerably less weight, but never hurts to check! I'd hate to have to look under that sube for damage after the crash. That would be a wheel bearing on any honda for sure.
