I currently am running an hks ssqv blow off valve on 26 psi of boost and 500+whp. Most people are shocked that it even holds that much boost but I cant complain as of yet. my new goal is over 600hp. Would it be recommended to change to a godzilla bov or greddy type r stiff spring?? Turbonetics has a new raptor BOV. Anyone using this yet??what would you guys running 600+whp recommend for a blow off.

 

We run a tial bov and it holds over 40psi for sure!

 

I was gonna say the samething since your the one who told me about it.Tony also told me there no need to adjust it for low and high boost setting,i think.

I'm going with a tial also, unless I can find teh greddy type R stiffie for cheap

I would just add another Hks ssqv to your setup, I'm pritty sure you know some supra owners do this with some of their higher hp cars.

The tial bov looks to be a very good bov but I'm not too sure how good it works under some regular driving sence that spring they got in there is stiff as hell...

Jojo Callos actually runs that new Turbonetics Bov on his car, so it must be working right for him..

I run Tial on mine too.

 

used to run the tial on my old hybrid accord.

now running the hks ssq unit.

love both but i believe the tial is the better choice for high boost applications.

I think you got it backwards.35mm on your manifold and type s on your charge pipe.

 

Son of a bitch! That's why I had to weld that 1" flange onto that 1.5" hole in the turbo manifold! I wondered what those bolt holes were for!!

 

Sure, holding back that pressure doen't seem crazy.

But, can it dump quick enough...

You might try using 2 of them.

Look at some of the Turbo V8 and Big power Supras they use 2 to make sure
to get enough flow.

You may want to try a Turbonetics Godzilla... or 2
