Default What to Expect (Trade in on S2000)

Any body got a clue as to how S2000's are doing for trade in right now. I have pre-acceptance into UCSD for my B.S. and need to sell my beloved S2000 within the next five weeks.

2001 White on Red. 30K mileage. Bone stock, no accident car. I need to get at least 26,500 dealer trade or possibly more with a personal sale at this point to get myself clean enough to walk away. Dealer trade is looking like the only way to go due to my limited time-frame.

I believe that I have a buyer for my porsche, the insight is with my father for the time being. So what to do, I have about 10K for the next car's down payment and will be getting something with more then 2 seets and better gas mileage.

17,500 is a shame. But it's not the most saught after used car in the world. I found of all things a 2002 SVT focus in the paper for 12,900 brand new on the lot at the local ford dealer and might go check it out and see what they give me for trade in.

They are selling at auction for 21-24k with less than 30k miles,Really no chance of you getting more...Buy a 2002 or 2003 Si, You can really steal those right now!....Ashame you didnt get a Type R...in the last month there value is going up. I saw a PY 00 with 63k fairly clean pull $18900 @ auction! Thats a ton of money for dealers!

I have seen them around there, but for some reason, (must be the weather) california cars are going for quite a bit more when sold within the state.

Got a buddy of mine to run the car through the wholesale book. with all the adjustments for color and condition the car is worth 26500 so he believes I would get around 26000 if I really pushed the dealer. I will see, at this rate I might as well just take it down to mational city and leave the top down.

I got my 01' S2k early this winter at a honda dealership in PA for $25,100.. and I paid an extra $500 for a 7 year warranty.. so don't expect to get much from a dealer.. my advice.. wait till spring, sell privately.. give them a ride.. sell the car for more than $26,500.... you wont get near that from a dealership

Of course UCSD is boring, I mean just look at the grade point average of the average student and tell me that they had any kind of life when they were in high school. I myself am a 3rd year transfer from lovely mira costa community college. I can already tell that I am not going to fit in, I don't think 95% of the people there have done a decent days work in there life.

On the car note got offered 26,500 for my car at the dealer but they simply would not budge on the price of the SVT. I did a bit of quick math, and if I use the money I was going to use for the trade in as well as the cash I have left over from the Porsche sale I will be around the same payment of the SVT( well within a 120 bucks or so which is next to nothing)

Like_whoa, what are you majoring in if you don't mind me askings.
