Best looking fake "HID's"
Well i cant really afford $500+ for HID's, so im going to buy those fake ones tomrrow. i guess the hyper white or super blue bulbs. Which ones are actually the strongest and look the nicest and are pretty similar to HID's. (color) i did a couple searches and came up with nothing..its for a 1992 integra.

mine are very nice i think. they're cheap ones off ebay for like $15. they're kinda blue, but a good blue, not a rice blue. from far away they look like HID's. plus they have actually lasted for almost a year, so I'm surprised about that
the brand is Hiper or Hyper BTW.

Don't waste time with crap... Get Sylvania SilverStars... in 9005 form... and do the 9005 "conversion" and you'll be VERY happy. Bulbs are high end, high quality - $25 ea, sometimes there are deals at Advanced Auto Parts or affiliated stores.

lately i've been hearing about a lot of people's 9005 conversion bulbs blowing out. I've got the Eurolite Fusion bulbs. They put out a very nice color and have lasted a year so far.

guys, he has a 92 Integra, which means he has the absolutely horrible 9004 headlights. I had 9004 Hiper Industries headlights in my old Camry, absolutely the most horrible things ever!
9004 bulbs are only 45W, 700 lumens output on the low beams to begin with, think what it would be when you put a blue coating on that bulb.
HID wouldn't be much better, either, since the beam pattern would be all over the place and just terrible, with not much light going to the road in front of you. I would say the best thing would be to get some 1-piece headlights and order some H4H bulbs from Options Auto Salon. At least those are 55W on the low beam.
And the purpose of the 9005 conversion on G3 Integras is to get more light. I had it for over 1.5 years before I got my HID. IMHO the Sylvania Cool Blues are the best for that, since they don't cost much and last a long time.

I agree with Pat from a similar experience.
I bought my brother some 9004 Sylvania Cool Blues because I thought his OEM bulbs were crap. I installed them and found out they weren't much better.
Even with his high beams on, the light on the road just plain sux.
Puts a big smile on my face everytime I get into my HID equipped teg.

i was also convinced w/ the silver stars......i had some nice looking fake HID's before...nokya h4 artic purple bulbs. People always asked, damn...you got HID's? But the thing is, they didnt put any light on the road! Dangerous imo. Now i have the 9005 silverstars, and MAN do they make a difference in light output! I see everything now!!!
finally got my bulbs from autooptiks.com, I bought silverstars a week ago
bulbs I got were phillips bluevisions, very nice 9006 bulbs for $30/pair
I'm just suggesting this if you DON'T want to spend the $40-50 on silverstars due to budget constraints (even though they are WORTH it)
glad I bought both sets of bulbs over the piaa extreme whites ($80/pair)

Id go with silverstars, some of my friends have them and they really light up the road well and none of them have had problems with them burning out to quick.
Got this from another board. Might want to check it out...

Pay more for bulbs with less light. Plus they ALL tend to burn out faster than stock. Save them money you would spend on all of these bulbs and wait for a group buy @ $400 for some HIDs...
Don't put rice lights on you car....

V-TEC b17a go to http://www.g2ic.com and do a search there. you will find many of my posts regarding to lighting for our cars. If you have any questions just e-mail me. I know my bulbs.. <----- ricer lol
right now the best combo i have found for our cars... jdm one piece headlights with Polarg 3900k eurostyle h4h bulb with a catz zeta system overboosting it. the visibility of the output is about as good as those new nissan sentras (non -HID). I don't know if you notice but those damn new sentras and BMWs.. even non-HID power ones have really good light ouput. Although mine is suppose to simulate a true HID, it does not and it never will. but it looks really good though. not the whitest you can get but it is really good, clear and clean white.

if you want to go for the cheap route on bulbs. get the kryptons on e-bay. they are by far the best cheap bulbs you can get. the output is good and the color is almost pure white.. not as white as my other set of razo zero white bulbs.. but they are damn white.
