Hey guys, I just bought a 1990 Prelude Si and I was wondering if anyone
knew any stock specifications on it at all beside the 2.0L engine. I've been searching the internet forever to no avail. Anyone? Thanks!

if it's a 90 Si it has the b21a1 motor (2056cc) w/ 142 hp & 138 ft/lb...I have a 91 Si w/ this motor...it is the same block as the 2.0Si (1956cc, b20a5) but has thinner sleeves for the extra displacement. How much oil does yours burn?

 

your info is a little off. the 90-91 preludes came with either a 2.0 or a 2.1. the 2.0 has 135 hp and 125 tq. the 2.1 has 140 hp and 135 tq. the 2.0 that you say is in there has an 81mm bore, 9.0:1 compression ratio, and puts down 105 hp and 109 tq to the ground on a dyno. the blocks are different in the bore size and sleeve material. the 2.0 has stronger walls made out of cast iron i believe. the 2.1 does not. the 2.1 puts 109 hp and 114 tq to the ground, 83 mm bore, and runs at 9.4:1 compression ratio. are there any other specs you would like to know about your 90 si? oh, and if you want to stop your b21 from burning oil, do what i did and put some lucas oil treatment into it. i went through a quart of oil every two weeks, then i added some of that and now i have gone about 3 months without adding any oil.
