Default My Car's Too Damn Slow!

I dont know too much about Preludes, yet alone cars in general. I have a 95 Prelude that is automatic (I hate this), but I need to know what I can do to make my car accelerate faster!?!? At times, it feels like something is clicking when I start to accelerate, like the engine is trying to work too hard. Is this just because that's what automatics do or is something wrong with my car? How can I fix this problem?

you can get a level 10 torque converter, makes the car work the same way as a manual with out the clutch and the "stick". you can get a JRSC and your car will be fast. you can do some heavy modding and itll be FASTER but not "fast"

on top of the already shitty powerloss through the automatic tranny, you have tall gears. If you want a cheap way to go "faster", you could get Nitrous, but do the necessary upgrades and tuning to accomodate it.

In all honesty though if you want a car that performs, i would get another one.

yea, right... JR does not make a supercharger for EVERY honda.... Only prelude that they make one for is a 5th gen..

i'd get a level 10 torque converter, it's the best way to get as much as you can out of an auto, my last lude was an auto, it wasn't slow though, people dis on the auto lude's, but if you drive it right it's not much slower, granted i'm looking for a 5spd now cuz auto's are boring, but if your stuck with an auto, get a new torque converter, the typical bolt on's and just learn all the power curves in the car and you'll be fine

http://www.levelten.com it has a listing for all cars, have fun, i had one on my 5th gen accord, it's a good buy, good boost in power and allows you to power brake to a higher rpm(i know i'ts not great onthe car, but at the track, it helps)
