IDRC approves the use of the Dart block in 2003
Jerry, will the Dart block be legal in any manufacturers' car? In other words, since it is not made from any oem parts, would it be legal in a Mitsubishi or? I hope it will not be legal for Quick
I agree with earl, you start letting none oem blocks in quick you will open a whole can of controversy once the domestics start makin quick class cars with some crazy limited production stuff. But i ain't scared. bring it.

If that's true, i guess it will prove again that money talks. I have positive proof that GM's entry into sports compact was based on nhra approving alcohol.
This block should save some money for pro-racers in the long run, being stronger and all,it should have a longer life span,we'll see.
but when you allow this into the quick class its gonna make wy for different aftermarket blocks, pistons, and rods that could throw the scene in a way new direction that Im afraid is the wrong way. I think itsll be good for pro class but not outlaw and quick.just my 2 pennies.-pdang
Yupp Yupp...before we know it...they are going to be campaigning a 3L 4-Cylinder Gm Block or something like that...not good for the grassroots guys.
