Hey guys, I have a question. My buddy's eg hatch was stolen (he recovered it) and they broke the ignition to unlock the steering wheel. How much would that cost to fix? And is it an easy fix? Thanks.

 

Hum, I guess you could buy some parts at a local scrap yard or even at the dealership and fix it yourself. You'll probably have some soldering to do, but since there isn't much info on the damage, it's hard to say.

 

a friend of mine had the same problem. 92 si hatch. the ignition lock cost him 175 at the dealership and he installed it himself. i think keying it to match ur doorlocks costs about 15 or so. **** THIEVES.

 

i pulled an ignition out of a car at the junkyard, but now I rock 2 different keys (1 for door, 1 for ignition)
