Well as some of you may know i have a dx coupe that was powered by a H22. Well about a 2 weeks ago i was driving along and i got an o2 code. Not thinking much of it i was heading home and i heard very bad spark knock. I was all like what the hells the deal. So im just crusing and i have to acclerate to get on this on ramp. Well under load all of a sudden it just lost power. Give it gas and it was very very weak. Barely would get over 60mph. We did a compression test and it was good in 1 and 4 but 2 and 3 were leaking into eachother. Like when you check 3 the pressure would come outta 2 and vice versa. So im not sure what it is yet. Havent torn it down yet. Im thinking its ethier a valve, rings or a head gasket. Ill found out soon enough. Anyways i had to throw the DX motor back in so that i could have a damn car to drive. This thing is slow as *****. Slower then the blown H22 was. Haha. Just figured id share my story with you guys. Oh and as far as the H22 goes i think i might just fix it and sell it as a complete swap but im not sure yet. I want some speed and power back yo. Well here are some pics. Laters.

Well thats all kinda up in the air for now. Might just fix the H22 and sell it as a complete swap, and pick up a new motor. Id love to have a jdm itr swap cause i drive like 100 miles a day and want something semi stock, but me and semi stock never seem to work. Ive got the bug to bad. Oh well, ill see what happens. Wish me luck.

I know what you mean. I intended on just putting a B16 in my car and that was it. Now I have a built lsvtec and think what else I can do for more power. It's a never ending process.

But man, that sucks to hear your H22 is fucked Fix that bitch and put it back in! I think the only other way you will get comparable power is an ITR swap which is more expensive than H22 and besides, you already have the h22 in your possesion and can take this time to maybe do some internals since you have it all apart anyways??
