Spoon Sport Chip for 95 INTEGRA GSR ECU... Is this worth it?
<FONT COLOR="red"><U>EBAY Item Click Here</U></FONT>
Is this a scam? I saw this on there a couple times, just wondering if I could do it myself... I solder quite a bit so I know I can do that, but finding out where to solder in the chip and all that...
I don't know , what do you all think?

i can't see the link but i dont think its worth it. unless u had a full spoon setup( which i would advise against as well.) the stock ecu is fine for the mods u have now.
I think I'd rather have that universal deal they used to sell... works on any car, adds at least 30hp, but they won't tell you what it is or how to do it untill you pay the $20 or whatever...
The chips are ebay are usually old erased and reprogrammed eproms. I wouldn't go for that. I can provide you with a brand new, programmed chip for less than these guys are asking. I can also chip your ECU board if you need me to (some soldering skills required if you want to try it yourself). Even with shipping fees, I'm cheaper than any shop around.

i always reccommend AGAINST any car items you see on ebay, too risky. only things i've gotten for my teg on ebay is cosmetic. i've had a couple of buddies with civics and eclipses really get screwed using ebay to get performance parts.

i live in NC, and we also do have smog emissions, will my vehicle pass smog emissions? if it doesnt, would be be easy to turn it back stock ecu again.
It should still pass emission tests if you leave everything else as it is (no hollow cat, etc). If you want me to chip your ECU, I could install a switch to change between the external chipped memory and the stock program.
