Default Mugen Lowdown Owners...

What are your preferences for front and rear dampener settings for street and autocross? I am currently using 2f / 3r for the street, and will have a chance to try different settings at the next autocross later this month. I look forward to hearing your opinions on how you like them set and why.

Street = 1f/1r. The streets here are horrible. Any stiffer, and I'll bend a wheel in a pothole.
AutoX = ? I haven't autox'd with the lowdowns yet.
Track = 3/5. Your setting will depend on your car, the track and your personal preferences. I also have the 26mm rear bar. At heartland park, there are some bumpy corners. The 3 in front helps to settle the car better for turn-in. I like the rears turned up to 5 because I can rotate the car faster in slow corners, and it lets me throttle-steer better through faster turns.

Street: 1/1 or 1/2 at most. No need for anything more I think.

Auto-x: Depends on course and pavement conditions. Ive run 2/4, 3/5, and even 4/5 before. But at our current lot in ATL there are bricks layed down in the pavement where Hank Arron hit his historical homerun and that screws up the balance of the car when you ride over it so I tend to use softer settings now. Last time I ran them at 2/3.

Track: 3/5 works good.

I just got mine a few weeks ago. Just wanted to say that I've played with settings for the street and my current settings are 2f/3r.

we don't have ax or track events here, but I use my R for a daily commute up and down a mountainside. Does that qualify?

oh, 26mm rear bar, too.

Mine are set at 2f/5r all the time and this is with the 26mm Mugen rear bar. This is the best setting after months of auto-x and track days.
