my abs has been giving me quite a stirr lately, first the light comes on and im out of fluid, second we have a mechanic and a honda dealer look at it, third honda said it would cost $800-$900, we found one in a junk yard for $200, so before we get the part the abs lighs goes out, i know the light hasnt blown because it still comes on when u start the car, so the other day i try to see if my brakes will lock up so i will know if there is still a problem with my abs, so i slam the brakes when i was going about 40 and it stopped perfectly, then i did it again at about 30 mph and the car made a weird clanking noise that did it every second and stoped for about 10 seconds as i was stopping and it was jerking or bouncing really hard, there was also a weird smell and it wasnt burnt tires either, so now everytime i apply the brakes i can hear this noise that sounds like metal rubbing, so do i need new pads or is the brakes really messed up? PLEASE HELP ME

 

check the break pads. sometimes im just to lazy to check mine too.
