I need some help to launch my teg, what is the max rev to launch?

My setup is very quiet(Integra 2000 GSR):
DC 4-1, Short air filter.

if its on street tires..around 3000rpm
if its on slicks..around 4000rpm

 

you can get by with more revs than that with slicks. I hold it at around 7200 with a 2 step

 

6.5-7k launch with slicks.

 

4k on slicks????????try 7k and up. launchin at 4k or so u WILL break more axles than launching higher

 

i would launch at 3000 on street tires and 7500 on slicks, but you have to feather the clutch out or else you'll have sick wheel hop.

3000rpm on street tires? nooo no no no. i have a stock gsr cept for aem cai and i launch at 4500 rpm. they spin yes at first only a bit but after it grabs ur right up in the rpms right away. still manages a 14.8-14.9 e.t. and 2.3 60' launching at 3000 would cause the revs to drop out of the power range after grabbing. with my experience anything under 4000 rpm tends to bog. but thats just me.

take note that launching on slicks at 7000+ rpm will aid you in finding weak links in your drivetrain system quite effectively, if you get what i am saying.

 

which is why I run 20x8x14 slicks and a "weak" used Centerforce DF clutch setup.

I've launched at 7800 rpm many times, just make sure helmet is against head rest before dumping the clutch.

Another question.
I have a friend that use the e-brake for launch, rev the car til 5k pull the clutch a little and when the ligth turn green bummmm!
Advantage , Disadvantage??
