Default weld-in cage kits...who would you choose? who has better rep?

who has the better reputation on weld-in cages or bars? Fitment would be a big plus here, and ease of install...

if there are other companies, plese post them with some contact info

I would definetly get an Art Morrison. Their cages/bars fit perfect and have many options to select from. Besides they have great customer service.

perfect considering it is an off the shelf kit

im not impressed with the art morrison stuff at all. missing the mounting plates, bad instructions, needed notching & cutting, no gussets. lotsa fab work needed besides welding.

Its a better deal to have your car sent out to a professional fabricator where the tubes can be custom bent for a real tight fit. Another note is that chassis shops generally want to build their own cages, and not use someone elses kit.

If you can get a chassis shop to do it for under 1800 parts and labor for chromoly go for it.

the best advice i can give you is don't skimp out on your cage. find someone who does good work and pay them what they ask. if you can't afford it now, save up until you can. because having to do it twice sucks.

I recomend s&w racecars. The prices are great and they are easy to install. http://www.swracecars.com is the website. can you add them to the poll please.

the art morrison cage we got was ok. the bends were in the right places and all. But the design could've been better. And all the notching had to be done by hand. Plus the pipes had to be trimmed down.

take that for what it's worth.

Notching tube ends and trimming the bars is kind of expected for the installation since you are only buying a "kit" not an installed roll cage. When you pay $1800 to have a fab shop install it then part of that money goes to the labor for notching, trimming, and welding. I thought the bars for a 94-up integra fit decently well for being an off the shelf "kit". IMO
