my 98gsr seats sux0rz... I feel that they are absolutely uncomfortable. Another thing is they look awful, they are stripped with tacky colors!..... come on Acura!!! wtf! atleast make them one color tone (black) to "match" the interior.. ugh... anyways ive decided that I want type r seats in my car. Ive never stepped foot in a type r (i know iam a deprived one) but how comfy are their seats? and whats a ball park price for a used set of front and rear seats? also.. how much would i be able to get for my gsr seats..

I was also looking around for type r strut bar to replace the stock gsr. Is there any noticable difference? besides the bling factor I found one for 60 bux.. so I was considering..

 

If you think the '98 GSR cloth seats are absolutely uncomfortable, the ITR seats will be a waste of money IMO. Unless you can find a fabulous deal, i say look for aftermarket seats instead.

 

Type R seats are the same as GSR seats except they are wrapped in Alcantra.

IMHO get some aftermarket Recaro SRD's

ITR Strut bar you won't notice a difference at all. Save up for the nice Recaro's instead.

 

i'd take ITRs over my GSRs simply because mine are leather. i hate sliding around ebcause im not exactly heavy

 

i dont like my itr seats. **** for the right price ill sell em to you so i can get my Sparcos soon

 

ITR seats also have slightly stiffer side bolsters....that is why they feel a little more supportive than a gsr...

 

they also dont have all the lumbar support items that make the GSR a litle heavier than the ITR's

 

well, it has the lumber support, but doesn't have the height adjustment. i agree with dLo gsr though. compare ITR to GSR leather and you'll definatly like the ITR better. i just switched my leather out and the ITR feels much more comfortable since the integra leather isn't very soft.

 

hey how much did you pay for your ITR seats?

guys what is a ball park estimate for some good condition ITR seats, fronts and rears? I have no clue as to what I am looking for.

 

Look at easily paying a grand or so . ill tell you now the lowest ive seen the fronts alone for was $800.

for my set of all USDM seats i paid 850. 250 for rear (out of a 00 or 01 don't remember) and 600 for fronts (out of a 98, really good condition though)
both were local pick up, so i saved on shipping
since you're in Cal i've seen a few ppl sell their R seats for under 700

 

I agree, GSR cloth seats looks like ***. I would get leather instead.

 

ITR seats sucks just as much *** as stock cloth GSR seats, I have sparcos now

and for $60 I'm willing to bet that ain't a realy ITR Strut bar

have you ever sat in ITR seats before? In my opinion they feel exactly the same as GSR cloth seats ie. they don't provide support.

I'm not too sure about how to tell the difference between a knock off ITR front strut and a real one, I'd ask the guys in the ITR forum
