Default VTEC afc

Is it worth getting VTEC AFC if my engine is N/A? A mechanic told me that VTEC AFC is only good if I decide to do FI, is that true?

Your mechanic is a dumbass then. V-AFC = better suited for NA than FI.

I've never use the VTEC AFC before, is it hard to play around with it? Is it worth getting it?

Yes, after you have I/H/E it's good. dyno tuning is best, but since the H22 runs rich leaning it out a tad and lowering Vtec crossover to 4,800 makes the car a bit quicker.

So the Vafc allows you to change where Vtec comes in and out?

Yep, it has it for lo-hi and hi-lo. Setting the hi-lo at 4,600 is nice too cause you can stay in vtec on shifts easier.

I like the vafc. It made a nice dfiffrence on my car even when it was stock. I gained ~15whp at the x-over.

When I installed the V-AFC on my car i didnt notice a difference at all(tryed tuning it myself). Then I took it and got it dyno tuned!! WOW what a big difference. they leaned out my fuel and set the vtec crossover lower.

it also took about 1/2 a second off my 1/4 mile times.

only useful if you are going to hit up a dyno to tune it.

Ya, you need dyno tuning for them to do their job. They usually just lean it out some and drop VTEC a little lower. I have one just waiting for a dyno sometime.....im cheap at the moment...
