Engine Bright.

Let sit.

Spray bottle with squirting pattern to rinse off. (keeps the water where you want it)

pressure washers if the psi is too high will cause some damage, its easy to make a big mess out of an engine bay with a pressure washer if you arent careful

simple green is good, when I used to detail cars at Honda we had this stuff called C49, its a pink simple green-like cleaner that worked even better than simple green, stuff was amazing. If you can find it, buy it.

I like the Engine Detailer kit at Pep Boys. Comes with can of degreaser and can of detailer to condition hoses, rubber etc. My bay looks new.
