Hey guys, I bought another accord yesterday, but i am having problems with the driver door light keep comming on. it doesn't come on all the time. it will come on when I am going around a right hand corner (where the door would swing out if open) or when i rest my arm on it. it sometimes flash on when i go through any bumps in the road. I can't shake my car when i close the door in the nights because of fear of the light comming on and staying on all night.

anyone has any ideas as to what is wrong with it, or how i can fix it?

 

check if the light activition switch is loose..or broken.
I know a friend has a savage(hitted on the side hard)
the interior light would turn on when he make a shape turn,
since ppl inside will swing to the opp. side activited the light.

 

Probably just a bad door pinswitch.

 

is there a way i can adjust the door so it shut tighter to avoid the light from comming on when it is moved slightly outward?

 

It's probably missing the little rubber piece around it. Look at it and look at the other side, you will see what I mean. I have seen peopl use tape, or rubber bands, unless you want to buy a new one.

 

Yes, loosen the two screws in the striker and move it as needed.

 

that is what i was wondering if i could do, but i wanted to verify it..... today i tried pulling off the rubber thing over the switch and put something between the rubber and the switch, that made it a bit better, but i still notice it turning on when i am going around sharp corners
