Default Method to temporarily drop idle???

I am trying to get my car smogged, but my idle doesnt drop below the 900-1100 range, is there a way to make my idle drop other than timing, and throttle cable both are set at positions that make idle as low as they can. Perhaps a certain vaccuum leak I can create or something. btw my engine is a y8/z6 combo still running obd-0.

look in the trotle body ...
theres a screw that controls idle by controling the amount of air that enter the int manifold...
try that screw.. other than that then u gott aplay with timing and **** like that

I am going through the exact same problem and what works for me is bypassing the iacv by covering the vacuum holes with a piece of aluminum from a soda can. then adjust your idle with the throttle adjustment screw on the throttle body.

only do this if you CAN NOT make the idle lower with the idle adjustment screw.
