SH owners! Changed front wheel, now ATTS light keeps on coming on. Help!!
Yesterday I got a flat on my front passanger side tire. Since I was affraid the minispare would affect the atts, I put the mini on the rear, and the rear in place of the punctured front tire. Now after driving for about a minute the atts light comes on. When I rerstart the car, the light stays off, I feel the atts pump charge, and a minute later the light comes back again. I disconnected the battery to reset the ECU but that didn't help. Does anybody have any ideas what the problem could be?
It is possible that you have a sensor on that spindle that is out of position. Have that checked and make sure that everything is properly torqued.
ATTS is very sensitive...it also has yaw control sensors etc...so any little thing could through it off.
Did you have the minispare on at all? for any period of time?? (on one of the drive wheels i mean)
I also remember reading that if one of the wheels gets lifted of the ground and spins while the other is still planted(ie making a hard corner, or maybe jacking up your car)..It will through off ATTS, then you have to do a # of
things to "recenter" it. If you need the info out of the helms manual I can email it to you.
You might just want to try resetting your ecu and see if the light comes on again.(ignore this part, I just read your post throughly again..
) If it senses anything wrong it will through the light, It could have the potential to work properly now, but sense that one thing happend, it came on.
My last guess is this..
ATTS is very sensitive to the OD of your tire...when you got the flat how long did you drive w/it. what I am getting at is that having the flat decreased the OD of the wheel/tire and that turned ATTS off. But resetting your ecu should have gotten rid of the light..It may have to be "recentered" like I was saying.
I hope you understood at least some of that uhhh "banter" heh

i had the same problem when my front tire was flat. like dslude said, ATTS is very sensitive. the reason the light came on is because the spare is smaller than the stock wheels therefore your ride height/suspension is affected. just think about it, three stock wheels and a spare, which way is the car tilted to? all you gotta do is fix the flat and get the car back on a even level. or just get another spare and put it on the other side. haha
First off....congrats for being smart enough to take a good tire from the rear and put it on the front......
i see so many idiots driving around with a mini-spare on their drive wheels......DEATH TRAP!!
anyways, ATTS has sensors at all four corners that are very sensitive for yaw sensing....just get your full tire replaced as soon as possible, and you won't have any problems

I just read in the Honda Technician's ATTS manual that the wheel speed sensors are on all four wheels. I just ordered a set of Potenza SO3s so hopefully it will go away when I get them mounted. If it doesn't I'll report back. Till then I'll just have to drive the lude as little as possible.
Thanks for all your input guys

Sure enough, After I installed new tires the light did not come back on any more. Thanks for all the thoughts though guys.
