I have a shop that has a spoon ecu that came from some motors from japan.. its genuin has the spoon tape seals and all but my question is what is different from my us spec h22 ecu higher redline? fuel cutoff? etc...

engine 94 h22 usdm, I/H/E headwork with ported IM, vafc... im still building the motor so modifications dont stop here

 

you should probobly ask the shop...

I don't think every spoon ecu or spoon reprogram is exactly the same..

 

they dont know i was helping my friend who owns the shop pick up motors and one of the h22s had a spoon ecu he said i could have the ecu if i wanted it. If they are custom programs is there any software to read the program or tune it like hondata

 

well if it is just a basic program then it probably upped the redline advanced the timing, changed the fuel maps, and removed the governer. beyond that who knows. u should call the ecu guy at jdmhondaparts.com and ask him if he has a prog that can read it. i havent dealt directly with them but i hear they r real helpful guys.
