how do i know what my civic equals to in japan as far as model
I just bought my 2k2 civic dx and mainly cause it was cheap and i wanted to do an engine swap and wondered what does my model equal to in japan so i know how to cross reference parts. All i managed to find for it so far is my tein suspention. I want more. Can someone please help?

As far as what model yours is equivilant to in Japan, Honda doesn't sell the 7th-gen coupe in Japan, only hatches (three and five door) and Ferios (four door sedans). As mentioned, swaps are mondo expensivéo for 7th-gen Civics.

I don't think it bolts right in to a coupe, rather a hatchback(2003 Civic Si). You need a subframe from hasport and/or mounts plus (I got this from) http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/f.../0301ht_heart/

...and if you read the linked article, it states hasport even had electronic problems.
Almost forgot, you also need to have a key coded to the ecu so it will start. Go for it, but it doesn't look cheap or easy.
