ITR springs or Eibach Pro-Kits with KYB AGX shocks?
i have h&r sports on stock shocks right now and i have a set of itr springs sitting around. i want to raise my car b/c its too low for me right now so im wondering what spring, itr or pro-kit, would be the best for a kyb shock. is there much difference in the spring rate and drop of these two springs? thanks
Either spring would work fine with KYB AGX shocks. As far as the spring rates between the two they are:
ITR F 246lb/in R 140-246lb/in *progressive rear
Eibach Pro-Kit F 331lb/in R 126-194lb/in *progressive rear
Also, although the ITR springs should only lower approximately .5"-.75" below stock height, mine seemed to have lowered my car closer to 1", very close to Pro-Kit height.

Another shock you should consider is the Koni Yellows. The Neuspeed SP3 Koniversion has adjustable spring perches that allows you to raise or lower your car another .5" in 10mm increments.
If anyone is interested in getting Konis, specifically Neuspeed SP3 Koni (like the ones in the pics), TornActive will do a GroupBuy if we can get 10 people to order. I know that there are already 5 people interested.

sorry ahead of time for my ignorance. do you want the rate to be higher in the front for better handling or whats the spring rate really mean? out of curiosity, whats the spring rate for the h&r sports which i have now.
I put on KYB AGX's last weekend with type-r springs (stock), ride is good, it is lower than stock a little, seems a bit lower than .75" but that's just me
yea, i think they do settle lower than they are suppose to. i have seen the ride height on several itr's compared to regular tegs at stock height and there is a big difference to my eye. let me know how the ride is and handling. thanks
I just got my ITR springs and Koni yellows in the mail. I'm currently on a Pro-kit from a Civic, which is closer to your H&R's than to an Integra Pro-kit. I won't be able to put the setup on until about the 23rd, but if you're still in a quandary by then I'll let you know how it goes. Jake.

great parts for the money. add an ITR rear sway bar and u will really be happy.

I've had the Pro-Kit / KYB AGX set-up for a while now, and I love it. The adjustability of the shocks is great, and are excellent for the money. The springs seem to be a great compromise between drop and clearence, with a ride that's definitely livable.
good luck with the decision.

The numbers on the drops I've heard are this:
ITR springs: .5 inch drop
Eibach Pro-Kit: 1.3 inch drop
KYB's are a great shock from what I've heard. I know quite a few people that are very happy with them and love their adjustability. Neither of the springs listed will drop the car to a point that is dangerous to the shocks. Also, KYB's are guaranteed for life if you abide by certain guidelines such as not dropping the car past a certain point.

just curious about how low you can go before they void the warranty on the kyb's?
they would not void it on a 1.3 inch drop would they?

I emailed KYB about this.
Basically anything >1.5" and you are risking of them blowing and they will not warranty them.
Extreme spring rates will blow them too. Typically anything under 400 (safe side) shouldn't blow.
