Default ecu question

I have a 96 civic ex (sohc vtec), i am wondering how to get more power out of my ecu? should i get it chipped? can i put a p28 in it? what should i do to get power out of my comp? please consider price and power increases.

if the motor has only bolt ons, then its not worth spending $350-400 on a chipped P28 and harness converter to gain extra 5whp. a better way is to invest it into suspension, tires or good steering wheel.

If you swap in B-series engine then you would have to rechip the ecu....otherwise like he said there's not much to be gained for the $$$

Not worth it IMO. Same the money and buy a turbo kit.
