would it be possible? and would it be safe to run 8+lbs of boost on such a bore with stock sleeves?

what pistons and rods do plan on using? I don't know with the boost but my shop manager did the 83 mm on a b18a1 and ran it all motor with the intentions of running NO2 to it. I would try to contact JE pistons or eagle rods to see how that app will work for you

The most I think you can overbore any b-series block is 82mm. And that's pushing it. theres no way you can overbore it to 83mm without resleeving it.

don't bore it that much out unless you are going to sleeve it. .25 is the max limit recommended by helms.

Yeah, they are right. 83mm is just not doable on a stock block. For a boosted app., I wouldn't go over 81.5 mm. If you sleeve it, you can go 83mm no problem!
