Default i got to dyno my car

the other day i got to dyno my GSR. on the first pull i was able to get 169hp then after tuning it put down 172peak hp and gain about 10hp through the mid range. the guy tuning it said it was pretty good for a GSR. what do you guys think. the mods are intake, headers, exhaust, vafc, skunk2 mani, type r cams. and the motors got a little over 90k miles on it.

Awesome numbers mike! That's a strong motor you got. Post the graph!!

Hey.. just wondering, did you change your oil before you went? It looked a bit dirty when you pulled that dispstick out.

well yeah i changed the oil before i put it on the dyno, and he adjusted the fuel on the vafc so that vtec didn't dip down. it has an AEM short ram, DC 4-1, with STR cam gears.

i hope that i can get a little more power if i put a type R cold air and take off the 18" wheels. as for track numbers. i haven't got any yet.

Do you have a White 4 door and did you dyno it at DSR last Thursday? I was there for one of your pulls (assuming it was your car). Sounded really nice! Good numbers.

where do you think i should go next for more power, besides FI? i was thinking maybe thiner head gasket or CTR pistons, bored out throttle body, or upgrade the valve train and get some skunk2 cams or toda B's

Great numbers.....how much did you pay for dynoing? I was told that DSR is the place to go.

Def do the CTR pistons. Make sure to have a professional machine shop do it, though. Do some searchs on higher compression ... there are things that need to be done, such as reduction in timing, higher octane fuel, etc. People have reported very nice gains with just OEM Honda parts, though.

tire size wont increase ur HP numbers but good #'s w/ ur mods.

are these numbers sae or uncorrected?? what type of exhaust?

i would definitely bump up the compression if u plan on staying all motor.
if ur on a budget i would stay with ITR cams or go w/ Toda A's.

i know that the tire size won't give more power, my mistake. i just meant that by takin off my 18's it might help my acceleration a little more with smaller lighter wheels. the numbers were to the wheels. uncorrected. the exhaust is a Greddy SP

Nice numbers. I did 166whp intake/header (open cutout) uncorrected. I'm hoping to get in the 170 range with cams/mani.

You will be in the low 190's whp with ctr pistons and better intake. What ecu are you using?
