I have done the Red Guage cluster, and will be working on the rest of the componenets over the next week. Also have a switch that controls the antenna in the under elbow compartment.

If you can, please post pics, and describe as much info as possible...

 

Hey I just finished ambering my cluster .. now my climate control and cruise control are asking for change hehe anyway.. on this site http://www.geocities.com/mt3c/ he mentions "translucent film" clicked the link and nothing. Where can I get translucent film? LMK

 

ive seen that site in the past, and i think that guy takes the very long path about doing this. I would think the rest of the car uses the same type of system with bulbs with a condom over them. just change the bulb and you're set.

 

the red dash bulbs and removed the rear wiper so far. Tryin to decide on what to do next. Id like to add red for the resta the insturments. Also i think im gonna sand my stock pedals down either polish or paint them flat black. The paint on them is eaten pretty bad from leaky master cylinder. After i do that i wanna take some skateboard grip tape and cut them to the exact shape of the pedal face and putem on. I think that would have a nice feel instead of my foot slipping off my clutch pedal sometimes.

yea id like to see the angel eyes, anyways check out my DIY thread, it had some good ideas, ive done the antenna switch, rear wiper removal, amber gauges, polished valve cover, i was working on a custom front grill but i gave up on that.

 

i did the red/amber cluster, 'icebox' cai, and painted stock wheels w/ polished lip

What kind of bulbs did you use to change your guage cluster to amber. Where did you get them.

9005 - High beams, Sylvania Silverstar conversion to 9006 (low beams).

 

use 194 RED bulbs from walmart -the white stuff made in the cluster makes the bulbs come out JDM amber color. -really sweet look

-i've got a freind trying the angel eyes -how did you go about doing yours? i want to see!! my freind is using the curving mini-blinds stick -led's, dremel tool method of doing it.

i have an antenna which comes up automatically thats the reason for a switch
fan is force on
brake light is force on also

 

for the fan switch, i use it to cool my motor down after a hard run. so while the motor is at idle, i can switch the fan on as long as i want.

to do this, i tapped into the ect switch. there is 2 wires running into it. you need to tap the one that is not grounded. the way it works is you complete the circuit and it turns the fan on. run a wire from the wire on the ect that is not grounded to one of the terminal of a switch and the other to a ground source.



to find out which one it is just splice into the wire then connect it to a ground source and the fan should go on. i believe its the green wire but im not too sure.

brake switch is just turns on my rear brake lights like im pressing the brake but im not. i use it on tailgaters along with my water cannon rear wiper nozzle

That link about translucent film...looks kinda ridiculous, can't you just change the bulbs? If anyone can give me a good explanation of how to change the climate control and cruise control buttons (more simply than translucent film if it's possible) as well, I'd greatly appreciate it. I can live with the white clock...

 

i made a 99-00 to obd1 conversion harness myself. it was a good project.

 

any how to or directions?
