Default A proper badging

92 CX with supercharged GSR. Previous badging as close as I could get:

(Yeah, yeah, I know it's dirty as hell. Snowing today here)

This now seems much more appropriate:

Lucky that Honda finally produced an emblem with the proper term for our swaps (but I guess I'll be fending off questions from little old ladies asking me how the electric car is).

Probably.

Hopefully, it'll attract less attention than the Jackson Racing SiR badging. That was in my thoughts as well.

Thats something id never do to my car, asking to get my **** jacked.

It looks cute when someone had the VW turbo sign on their CL, but other than that, its not a good "appearance enhancer".

So it either has an engine swap

OR

It is a real hybrid that runs on gas/electric??

I'd bet on the second one if you have anything else modified on your car if I was a thieve.

How could that be proper badging with the SiR badge on the back? You already said it was a GS-R motor so it wouldn't be SiR becuase GS-R is US-Spec. Oh and the hybrid attracts thieves like everyone else said. Just trying to help you out. Unless you like keeping an eye on your car, or you take good care of it.

It's not. But, it was somewhat closer than the CX badging was to what it is now. The 99-2000 canadian SiR had a B-series engine, at least, and my hatch was made in Canada. Yeah, I know it's a reach, but hell, it's the appearance forum.

Well, it lives in a garage all except when driving between points. It's already a thief magnet, and it wouldn't be any better if it had no badge at all. Why the hell did Honda choose red seats for the Type-R anyway?

I know, but this was the pattern to which I modeled my interior. Red seats, red valvecover, etc. It looks so nice, but it's too damn LOUD (in the thiefmagnet thought department)

Hey, look at it this way...my hatch had no badges and was stolen in 2 weeks, your hatch has JRSC SiR badges and has been with you for a while. Maybe badges are anti-theft magnets (thieves might think you're a ricer or something ) That hybrid badge doesnt look too bad, but I wouldn't have put that newer Civic badge on there, if anything i would use the metal 95 Civc badge.

supercharged sticker: . could attract thieves.

hybrid sticker : nice touch but could attract thieves

96+ civic emblem: doesnt match the car as far as shape. remember. the EG is round and bubbly, like the curved original logo. source a chrome original civic emblem if you want one. like off the 4 door i believe i say go without it period.

SiR: x 20. doesnt fit the car at all. its a cx not a SiR. if you have an RS integra with a type R swap and 5 lug. u dont own a R. u own a Rs with a type R motor and 5 lug.

going all debadged or just getting all factory badging again

disclaimer: not flaming in anyway just stating my opinion. please dont take it as so.

They both look nice. But I think that I like the Hybrid better.

supercharged sticker: . could attract thieves.
Agreed, but these aren't "stickers".

hybrid sticker : nice touch but could attract thieves
Agreed, but see above.

96+ civic emblem: doesnt match the car as far as shape. remember. the EG is round and bubbly, like the curved original logo. source a chrome original civic emblem if you want one. like off the 4 door i believe i say go without it period.
92-95 Civic Badging sucks. Period. They are "stickers". Cheap and poor design and quality. Of all the stuff on the 92-95 Civic, the badging was definately chintzy. I agree that the 96 up emblem doesn't quite "match" but the aesthetics is so so. Of course, this is the appearance forum.

SiR: x 20. doesnt fit the car at all. its a cx not a SiR. if you have an RS integra with a type R swap and 5 lug. u dont own a R. u own a Rs with a type R motor and 5 lug.
True, you own an RS with a swap, but do you own an RS? Well, you could put the DOHC VTEC integra emblem on there, and maybe it would communicate what it is. But, just leaving mine a CX (and a cheap vinyl sticker CX at that) just didn't seem to "fit". I hated the original vinyl stickers anyway. I also thought the model lineup on the hatchback was misplaced. The lower hatch area seems more natural (and of course was the area Honda chose for the 96-2000 models).

going all debadged or just getting all factory badging again
Debadged - Ok.
Factory badging - gag me with a spoon. They stunk. See "stickers" comment above. The only people who like those like them because they are "original equipment". Admit it. They were cheap and looked like Liberace penned them. Gay with a capital G.

disclaimer: not flaming in anyway just stating my opinion. please dont take it as so.
None taken. Some people think Picasso was a hack. (umm, include me in that group, thank you). Aesthetics is personal. I enjoy doing the badging/rebadging. The process is interesting.

sorry i meant emblems

i didnt mean replace with the stock civic sticker. i meant ive seen actual metal chrome ones in the same cursive writing as the grey decal. i think they came on 4 doors or jdm civics. i dunno.

stock badging: it was just an idea. lol. i agree with u. i dont likeit. my car is pretty much debadged.

decide on anything yet?

but he lives in a small town somewhere......where if his car were stolen there would only be 3 places or people to look to.....it would be found fairly easily...

I think the 95 4 door came with a proper emblem. Agreed, it's better than the original vinyl sticker, but the cursive is just plain gay. (and I don't mean homophobe gay either, but flaming pink sweater and polka dot pants gay)

stock badging: it was just an idea. lol. i agree with u. i dont likeit. my car is pretty much debadged.
Debadged would probably attract the least attention, but I like the way it looks. I'm just trying out new stuff.

decide on anything yet?
I was just throwing it out there for the looks. I haven't seen anybody use the hybrid emblem before, and considering most of us cut our teeth learning about this stuff on the hybrid board, it seemed appropriate.
