Default Ricer headlight bulbs question

I'm not too much into the appearance mods but I really don't like the stock yellow lights. I have an Integra and I am doing the 9005 conversion. I was considering the Silverstar but it seems like people are having problems with them burning out and I can find other bulbs cheaper.

What do you guys think of these bulbs: MTEC, Nokya, Eurolite, PIAA.
I'm trying to get the whitest light, or maybe a light purple like the BMW Hid.

Feel free to share your experiences and suggest other bulbs.

silverstars...gay. they look tight until they burn out and then they don't look so hot anymore. i burned one of mine after 5 months (9005 conversion) with minimal night driving. i would stay away from those "ricer" bulbs. i'm with cool blues now and i'll see how long they last and then i'll be onto hid's, maybe.

I second the cool blues. They're not bluish at all. You can actually see the road when you drive at night.

I had Cool Blues on my Maxima a while ago, but they were barely brighter than the stock headlights.

Which bulbs (brand) should I particularly stay away from?

You should get PIAA Xtreme's. They have no yellow in them at all, and they're probably the closest HID looking halogen bulb there is.

Yeah, I been told the same about the PIAA, but they're a little expensive compare to the others.

Anyone tried the other ones above (they cost a lot less than the PIAA)?

a long time ago when PIAA finally released the 9006 superwhite, i had those on my teg.. they worked great.. they were pure white and a little brighter on the ground than the stock bulbs.. and no i dont mean the PIAA plasmas..those bulbs dont work very well for illumination.. im talkin about the OG superwhites.. i recommend those.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking about the PIAA (about 3x the price of the other brands I mentioned), but I'd also like opinions on these also:
MTEC, Nokya, Eurolite,

I've never heard of the MTEC but I think someone on here mentioned them. I'd just like some more opinions before I purchase them.

PIAA Platinum Hyper White bulbs...bought them for $59.99 @ a local audio shop...

The bulbs are great when its not raining, you can see much better than the stock bulbs when its dry, but when its raining...you better rely on being able to use the street lights to see the up coming road, im saving now for a Philips H.I.D. kit but i am satisfied with these for the time being for the price...we've had them for nearly 1.5 years and never had a problem, brights are REALLY bright.

You guys are killing me. I really like the pics of the PIAA, but they're about 3x the cost of the other brands:MTEC, Nokya, Eurolite.

I think I just might have to give in and get a pair of PIAA. Thanks guys.

If you want to see at night in all conditions, the 9005 conversions using the Cool Blues are the best bet for the money. I had those for a total of about 1.5 years before one burned out (2 days before installing HID heh). They're only $15-$20/pair, so I think 1.5 years is plenty long enough, doesn't hurt too bad to buy another set.

you should either get the nokya bulbs or the piaa super plasma bulbs. the nokya's are more blue and really cool looking and cost about 40 bucks. the piaa super plasma are more purple like hid headlights and they are also really cool looking. but they cost around 60-65 bucks a pair. i had the piaa super plasma but i just changed to nokya bulbs today. so i think you should either get nokya or piaa super plasma. piaa are brighter than nokya

If you check on ebay, the nokya and other bulbs (besides the PIAA) can be had for less than $25 shipped.

Thanks.

the only bulb modification I would ever do would be a full HID conversion...anything else = waste of time!
