93 SI Lude or 88 supra turbo?
which car should I go for?
The 160hp prelude or the mkiii supra turbo 230hp.
The thing is that the supras are a bit more to insurance and maintain, they are heavier too.
The prelude looks nice, it just doesn't got the speed like the MKIII does.
Which do you think i should go for?
thanks

I have ALWAYS loved the old school Supra. The thing is I have never driven one. If it is in great shape I say get it. I am sure it will be more to maintain though. But it is a unique car and not as played out as Hondas.
You also can't beat RWD. Great performing car all around.
I bought my Prelude because I love Hondas but I have a 325ci that breaks the usual scene of Hondas and it is RWD. The Prelud eis a VERY nice car though. And it is one of the rarer Hondas that are rediculously modified. I bought mine to race at autocrosses and a few track events. So far it has FAR exceeded my expectations. My car keeps up with my friends 94 325is surprisingly well.
Hope this helps.

I say go with the Supra, in my opinion Hondas are played out especially at the racing scene. If you don't really like the look of the supra you can always change it so apperance isn't that much of a problem. And plus it has more power, so I would say go with the Supra.
Well you did post this in the Prelude Forum so of course I say Prelude!
You'll save money on insurance and maybe you can save some money on the cost of the lude and turbo that mother!
My 2 Cents

well heres the scoop.
Supras go for about 4-9k canadian here.
Ludes start at about 9, and go way past.
So i save a few grand buying the old supra.
But then I got the head gasket issues, $35 tank of premium gas, $150 month insurance.
But a faster car with boost that can easily hit low 14's.
But I have also to drive winters, inwhich I would have to park the supra for about 4-5 months.
The Preludes more reliable, and better on gas and newer, but its honda, inwhich its more money to buy.
Either how, i want something nice, but Im also thinkin a 94-95 RS/LS Integra coupe aswell.
So another question would be, prelude or integra?

I have the best of both worlds. Hands down the Lude looks alot better. Handles better. Just more modern. The Supra on the other hand rear wheel drive. Turbo. Torque.
show or go?....id say if u want speed...supra of course! but show.....imo prelude loook better and more potiential and more mods..but the supra...is just a beast RWD does help
well, those are two very different cars... if you looking for a good value go with the prelude. it's newer, it will probably be more reliable, cost less to maintain, keep a better value. it's up to you though. go for what you think you like better.
one of my friends had one of those supras and that thing kept breaking down all the time... the motor has more potential of course, but only if it's in very good shape. make sure you check the condition of the motor, turbo, and check for oil leaks and oil burning. those are known to burn oil.

Someone who says something is played out is usually a bandwagoneer that goes with whatever is in the trends...
Have you driven a 350whp+ Honda? Heck, try even 250whp. Throw that in a 2100lb chassis with stickies and you have one helluva ride.
Yes sir the Supra has alot of potential. But yes alot of downtime. It's a 15 yr old car. Fun but if you don't want the hassle of boost leaks, blown headgaskets, other minor stuff get the Lude. Either car can be made fast. But when it comes to modding all cars experience sum problems on the way. It's a price to pay to go fast.
And I can't see a car being played out. Haha Racing is racing in any form. Faster the better. Props to any fast car.

well the supra is more power but the prelude does look better and from my experience the honda is cheeper in the long run. also between an Integra LS and Prelude Si/Se i would say go for the Prelude over all.
