Can I run a 75 shot safe on a ls?
first do a compression test, if the results are good then your motor should be able to handle it. i recommend you get a fpr and later on get a fuel pump. also dont forget to buy colder plugs.
as for timing retard, i recommend you retard 2-3 degree. watch your plugs and if you think your car can handle stock timing then go for it.
and the zex kit is good for a 75 shot. if you want to go higher you will need to go DP. im saying this because i know people who buy zex then a week later they go buy a NOS DP kit or an NX DP kit.

NX kits are rated to the wheels ( at least a 2% to the shot desired ), they dont need to be tuned and they dont have to have timing retards ( if i'm not mistaken ) all you need is colder plugs for a 55 shot , you'll need that fuel pump and fpr for anything higher.
If you plan on installing 75 shot then plan on getting new internalls soon, because that motor will wear out quick. I'm not saying you will blow it but it is going to wear out pretty quick.
my friend ran all last year on a 75 shot with no other mods besides intake, and his car went 13.8 all day long.. 15 degrees timing, nothing else..

dude like 80% of these people have no clue , they only knwo by the last post someon else posted on their set up they dont knw from doing it

i had a dry 60, single fogger 80 and dp 100 getting ready to do 125 all on stock internals and ran like a ************.
just tune it good.
make sure the fuel is there. on my dry ktit he fuel wasnt there so i ditched it and started upgrading fuel from there and got a kit to inject the fuel with the nitrous to even it out more and intensify the charge.
once you add the fuel with the nitrous it is alot more intense then the dry shot
and my timing i ran 80 shot many many many times with no detonation, i run sunoco 94 all the time on my car.
with the 100 shot i kicked it back to 2-2.5 degrees under stock just to be safe

hmm are you talking about hondas or about cars in general? lol if he had an ls1 then 100 dry single shot would not be a problem. yeah you could get away with a 100 shot sf a couple times but but thats really on the edge. just go dp so you know how much each cyclinder is getting.

I want to go ahead get a 75 shot of zex, and all i have is aem cai, and dc header. Would i be safe running this on an ls with 110,000 miles? Thanks
again my advice is to get 50. learn from it. gain experience. then just change the pill and nozzle to 75 if you want. 100shot/direct port/etc.. im sure you dont want to go that extreme yet. and obviously not a good choice for a rookie

new efi v8s run like *** with wet kits. dry is better for those cars. with all the knock sensor auto timing retard fuel enrichment cool **** the ecu does, those dry kits are awesome for the lt1/ls1.
for a honda with stock internals 125 is very possisble with a dp and tuning.
