Those who installed their KYB AGX's I need your help
The KYB Agx's come with a round washer that is put on after the bumpstop. The stock shocks come with a circular silver washer that is placed on top of the bumpstop.
Do I use both the circular washer and the peice suplied by KYB?
Or Do I just use the peice supplied by KYB?

try to use the original washer that came with the oem shock...if the washer is damaged in any way, then use the washer supplied by kyb.......it's always better to go with oem even with bolts, lugs, nuts...etc..

my mechanic put mine on last week, he took off the huge silver washer that came with the stocks and used them INSTEAD of the ones that came with the KYB's, I asked him why and he said "because there's a chance that those little ones that come with the KYB's could go through at a later date"; it made sense to me
If I can remember right, the OEM big round washer on the strut shaft and the little gold one supplied by KYB are there to hold up the cowbell dust cover. It doesn't matter whice one you use, their function isn't very critical to the shock, and the KYB one isn't any crappier than the OEM one. a washer is a washer ya know.. I used the KYB one because it said to in the instructions, but like I said, it doesn't matter which one you use.
I don't know about anyone else's AGXs, but if were talking about the same "collar" supplied by KYB than I don't see how you would or could use a regular washer to REPLACE it. I can understand if you added the stock washer on top of it, but without it I think its not safe since the collar that comes with the AGX is shaped to fit perfectly on to the TAPERED shaft.
