Wrecked my CR-X..
I was driving home this morning from a friends house and hit a patch of ice, swerved, hit a rock wall, and pretty much wrecked the hell outta my crx. The drivers side rear quarter is smashed, that wheel is bent, and that tire blew out. Engine still runs. Both rear quarters and the taillights are jacked. I didn't get hurt, just feel a few pains in my left arm and in my neck, probably from where my head hit the roof. The DC sports strut bar in the rear is all bent. The vis carbon fiber hood, the black projector lights, 3 of the wheels and tires, and hopefully the struts/coilovers are all good. The rollcage is fine, as is all the glass. I guess I'm gonna strip as much of it as I can tonight, then let the highway patrol inpound it cuz I don't wanna pay to tow it here and I also have no where to store it. As of now I'm not fixing or attempting to fix any cars up. This was an 88 CRX that I probably lost about 4-5,000 on. I don't feel like sinking that kinda money into something else that can be taken away from me so fast. So I'm on the lookout for another car, and at least I didn't get hurt. I'll go take some pics of it today, when I go to get the parts off.
good to hear that you're alright at least.
get those pics up of the car soon, you gonna be selling the parts off of it? or using them on your next car?
edit: how hard did you hit the rock?? and was it the back end that hit it?

I was doing between 80-85mph. I swerved, over corrected and did a 180 off the side of the highway, smashing my drivers side into a rock wall. The drivers side door, rear fender, drivers side wheel and tire, taillights, etc are all fucked. Can't be fixed. Dunno what I'm gonna do. I'll probably try to sell the carbon fiber hood, the short shifter, the projector headlights and perhaps the muffler.

yup, not even a scratch...on me....I was looking and now I may only be able to use 2 of those wheels and tires and might have to buy 2. I might get black/red rota group N's instead if that is the case.
DC sports correct. It got bent about in half. That and the 4 point custom roll bar I had in the back hatch I think kept the crash from being worse and probably saved me from getting hurt. None of the hatch glass even broke. As you can tell, that strut bar took almost all of the impact.
Glad to see your ok...fortunately I haven't had any bad car wrecks...******* hate rain though...
I am interested in buying parts off your car give you some extra cash.

yokohama parada spec 2, 3 out of 4 are fine. I am either gonna get a 4th wheel and tire for my civic si, or try to sell 3 (who the **** would buy 3) and get some rota rnr's. What do you need off the car? The aftermarket stuff (wheels/tires, hood, projectors, struts/coilovers) are going on my civic si. The front strut bar, intake, stock stuff isn't. Oh yeah, DC short shifter goes in my Civic Si as well.
I'm just thinking, rolling on summer tires in winter is not a good idea. I know you hit some ice and no tire will grip on it, but get yourself some snows or at least all-seasons. Keep the new one safe.
