why dont you call your local Honda dealer and find out? whatever the price is it is going to be expensive. A long time ago I asked my local Honda dealer what the price would be for just a bare block would be, they told me $3000.

Why not buy a used USDM motor?

just call the Honda dealers around your local area, and call a few Honda dealerships out of state. Then you compare the prices and find the best one.

when you done calculating ALL the parts for a long block expect to spend around 8 grand. Not worth it.

When do you need a motor? I've got a 95 H22a1 that I'm thinking of getting rid of once I pull it out of my car. PM me and let me know.

i found some stuff on some websites, and its not actually that bad, excluding the tranny..
from hondaautomotiveparts.com general block assembly is $2526
general head assembly is $1395
general tran assembly is $1889
so all in all its not that bad, for a brand new engine. at least in my opinion...

Thats over $6000 once you include shipping. Factor in maybe a few hundred more bucks for assembly, sensors, intake, ECU, exhaust manifold, and fluids and your gonna be pushing the range of $6500-$7000. OR, you could by a complete H22 swap for about $2200, have it sleeved, new bearings and gaskets, nice pistons, head work, I/H/E, aftermarket LSD in the tranny, aftermarket clutch and flywheel, and probably still be under that amount, and produce waaaayyy more HP.
