What HIDs come in the s2k?
all car manufacturers use 4100k HID capsules. The varying colors you see from manufacturer to manufacturer comes from the design of the elipsoidal projector housing.

I am talking about cars that come with HID lights. All of those use 4100k bulbs. If a car has a halogen headlamp setup, then yeah of course it's not going to be useing a HID capsule....... As for OEM equipment. The ballast is almost always the Philips LVQ-212 model
And bulbs are either Philips or Osram D2S models.
S2000 (best and brightest): Phillips projector lens (non-diffused) / Phillips D2S bulbs / Phillips ballast. BMWs use HELLA/Osram. Audis use Valeo/Phillips.

1. It would probably be illegal to some extent.
2. Not all car manufactures might like philips.

Im pretty sure that its impossible for all companies to use philips.

GE/Philips happens to be the worlds largest manufacturer of light bulbs. Which in turn means they should be able to produce the cheapest light bulbs. Which in turn means they should be able to manufacture the most light bulbs.
Suddenly there are laws against having the majority of a market? Crap, that's going to put all kinds of people out of business. Case in point, there are only three companies in the world that make throttle bodies. (excluding one off billet pieces) Only one of those is American (Holley). I suppose that is a monopoly too.
All those neat HID's and bulbs at the local ricer shop are made by the same handfull of companies, they just been repackaged with a $100 brand name to pay for advertising and let you think you bought something unique.

A few of you guys are wrong. Please don't mis-inform other people.
I have a S2K and when I clear my headlights, I took the HID system apart.
The bulb says "Philips" on it and the ballst has all kinds of warning and japanese
writing on it. The ballst box is huge, it's bigger than an aftermarket philips ballst
you see out there that sells for 500 bucks. the s2k ballst is bigger than a Hella ballst and also that Mcculloch ballst. It looks nothing like those ballst out there
and the brand is not a philips. It says something like "Mitsubishi"... but for sure
the bulb is a Philips and I don't know if it's a 4300k or whatever 'cuz it didn't
say anthing on it. But I personally think it wouldn't be higher than 4300k 'cuz
anything above that is pretty illegal from what I was told by the HID kit sellers.
What makes the color change and all those pretty color u see on a S2000/Audi TT/
BMW is the projector, yes, the bulb (4300, 6000, or 8000) makes the color change but they will never look as nice ('cuz of glare) as the OEM one 'cuz of the OEM HID projector.

Clear the headlights mean to remove the amber from it.
