any truth? H-series=weak crankshafts?
Is there any truth in this? I'm planning on making major power and this information is leaning me back towards the B-series motors lineup.
So is there any truth in this?
If there is, what has been done to prevent it? Shotpeening? Cryogenically treating it?

hey guys,
rods are fine, crank is fine, head is fine, like he said, it's the ringlands. Honda uses forged cranks stock. look at all the guys racing with them, and see how many have done anything past balancing them. Not that many. Unlike most domestic cranks which are cast, hondas are forged stock. One thing we don't have to spend a ton of money on, yippee.

That's why for many of us the rod ends egg even with the stock RPM limit...
But in any case, the ring lands are also weak, though I haven't heard of many going w/o FI.

I'm talking our stock rods compared to domestics and d-series, can take quite a bit. Like you turbo guys said the ringlands will go first, I'm guessing the rods are next.
