My girlfriend (shadylady) has developed laser vision, cool huh.

You know how when you were younger and you would win trophies at Karate and your mom would take pictures of you? Well my mom never let me take karate, so she takes pictures of me when i finish my motor now.
(notice the spongebob t-shirt.)

I know, the oil pan isn't on, the header isn't even bolted on, i'm waiting on one tiny little part to finish it up.

Bling Yo!

I built the motor from the the bottom up, every last bolt, seal, everything was done by me.

Don't be a hater, just sharing.

It's a stock valvecover and my GF and I did all the work on it. It's not perfect, but it looks really good.

u said it not me. do u want a cookie for that buildup???? im not hatin but jesus dude, 3 forums with the same content just different titles for the threads. i built my motor in my kitchen but u didnt see me askin for a cookie and posting it all over HT. it does look good, although i dont like painted blocks. u should get some headwork done. u will notice the car should pull nicely with that compression but just wait till u get some bigger cams. unfortunately i did it backwards. JUN IIIs in stock GSR bottom end. ended up resulting in the exact same times at more MPH than the yr b4. then i got my hatch and swapped pistons and the results in my sig speak for themselves.

yessum, that would b me. since u did the buildup urself, how did it go??? remember to pop open the plug on the oil pump and dump oil into there. it will prevent a "dry" startup, the pump will b primed.

"taking notes."

Yeah man, this was my first solo motor build up, it came out really good.

Did you get those shelf spec 12.5:1's? I imagine your compression would be slightly lower with the r head, but it would still be gnarly.

I really want an ITR tranny for this motor, either that or get a quaife and a 4.7 fd.

Do you remember the thread that had the pics of your build up?

yeah i got the off the shelf pistons. next yr im goin searchin for a manufacturer to make me something higher. from what i understand those pistons r actually 12.5:1 in a B16 since they r universal, but its listed on JEs site at 12.5 in a GSR so i dont know. all i know is big dome=lots of compression.
depending on what u want outta the car an ITR tranny is a good choice. although u cant go wrong with a 4.7 FD and quaife lifetime warranty. i havent had any problems so far with my ITR tranny but im sure the abuse will catch up with it soon enough.

i believe u might b lookin for this: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=320207

Why the hate??? So what, he posted it in 3 forums..... Better than seeing "LoOk aT mY AlTezZaZ yO!" three times. It looks damn good and he's proud of his work and wants to show it, I would too. Good job with the buildup Plan B
