spliting the tranny

Default getting to the maininput bearing and seal

when spliting the tranny do u lift the tranny houseing off the clutch houseing.. and is that snap ring on top the one u have to remove? because there is no way to get it out b/c it is in a grove..so u just expand it and lift the housing right

my manual sucks it just has like one line of info on how to do this.

just use a pair of good snap ring pliers to spread it and lift the outer case off.

yes just expand the clip and lift up the housing, you may need couple big flat head screw drivers to pry it open

ok now it is off but how do i get to the maininput shaft bearing and seal? do i have to take the gears apart? or should it come off in one peice?
