Exhaust Pipe Size
My engine mods are only Type S cams, Type S piston, bigger throttle body, AEM CAI, Mugen header. I'm currently working on installing these mods on my car. 2.5" or 2.25" is better?
Go w/ a mandrel-bent 2.25" catback exhaust. You'd only want 2.5" if you were sprayin some decent shots of nitrous often. Anything over 2.25" and you lose velocity, which is what helps to produce power in an aftermarket exhaust. If you're going turbo, get a 3".

well if your local muffler shop doesnt have a mandrel bender, how is crush bent 2.5 cat back vs. mandrel 2.25? pretty much the same i would think? just talking cat-back, using resonator.
i have had substantial increase in my teg (lsvtec-w/itr internals), with that ; so i was wondering how this will be on the lude 1996 h22 ? i know 3" is WAY too much. hey who can recommend a nice sounding muffler ? im looking not for pipe, just a universal muffler. i have an apexi n1 universal , its pretty loud! even with silencer... also its rather tiny... how is greddy, or hks sounding? looking for deep/throaty and not too raspy up high in the range.
peace, thanks.
