resonator with no muffler
how loud with my gsr be with just a resonator? i once rode in this civic with just a resonator with a test pipe (no cat) and it was "damn" loud. i guess getting a real long resonator would help with calming down the noise but what i don't know for sure is would there be a decrease in hp?

that help?
Glasspacks/resonators are really loud and they only get louder. I had two of them on my BMW in place of the muffler and I got some hp but it was real loud. The bitch of it is they only get louder because they blow the fiberglass out eventually. You take the cat out and you're talking damn loud. On the bright side they're cheap.
back from the dead!
anyone have any thoughts on this?
i was working on my car today and had the axle back off. i have a stock 98 gsr. i ran it around the block with the axle back removed and it didn't seem too loud, but when you got on it it sounded like a f1 car almost or like the bc spec II that i have seen on youtube. my stock exhaust will need to be replaced soon and i want to try and duplicate that sound with all new piping and resonators.
any thoughts?
