resinator
if u take out the resinator will that make ur car fail the emissions test? i know the cat makes the difference, but does the resinator do anything with emissions, other than loudness. thanks
No. The resonator simply functions as a sort of pre-muffler to dampen sound. Taking the resonator out will increase noise and do little to nothing to increase airflow, making it a rather useless task. An increased airflow muffler will give you the louder sound and also add a couple HP effectively due to less restriction on the exhaust system. I wouldn't reccomend taking your resonator out.
