highest rev on stock head b18c1

Default highest rev on stock head b18c1

is it safe to rev b18c1 to 9000rpm , stock head , built bottom end , tuned properly

Stock B18C1 head with C1 cams your about on the edge at 8500rpms. Put ITR inner springs on the Exhaust side and you should be good to 8800 rpms with GSR cams.

what does floating mean ?
Valve doesn't close in time and it hits your piston and swak bam by motor. That's why you upgrade your valve springs and retainers.

i wouldn't even go over 8300 with stock head.

Do you guys think i'll be fine up to 9000rpm with my gsr cams, skunk2 valves, springs, and ti retainers on my 84mm b18c block built with je pistons and crower rods. t3/t4e 18+ psi all tuned by hondata properly.

i already try the type r ecm in my old gsr i didint break anything but i could feel a big lost in power at about 8200+rpm cuz valve was starting to float! i had the type r intake camshaf whit that to!

good question !i would like to know in this to
i know that for n/a gsr camshaft are not apropriate for 8200+rpm

I used to go to 8500 ALL DAY with no problems with ITR cams.
