Default Any short shifters that sit lower in console?

I'm going to be in the market for a short shifter soon and I hate the way the stock shifter sits so high in the console. Does skunk2 or DC sit lower in the cosole? Any other ideas would be helpful! Thanks.

I installed a DC short throw shifter into a 95 civic and it sat lower. I would assume that it would sit lower in a 88-91 also. I think they are the same part numbers.

yeah they are the same... i have the dc as well... it sits lower than the stock shifter... i had a momo **** on it and hated it... for some reason it sat higher and was big and gaudy looking so i changed back to the stock **** and love it... planning on getting a skunk2 **** soon... hopefully it will work out good

I have a DC short shifter and it sits about an inch lower. If I got a **** thread all the way to the top of the **** it would sit a lot lower... stock **** on a crx is really tall. The DC isnt much lower but the shift is SO much shorter! You hear companies claim ridiculous gains but I actually believe DC's.

I've got a teg short shifter and the way it curves back it seems lower. I think it is for a 94-00 integra.

you can always cut the top half of the shifter.

ack dont do that, thats the worst mod you can do to a shifter.... I did it on my 85 Si and I couldnt stand the **** falling off every 5 min and rattling like crazy.... If you INSIST on cutting it. Cut near the fulcrum(SP?) point, cut about a inch off and weld the thing back to gether.... at least you will still have the threads so your shift *** will stay on.
