Ok i started up my car and when it was warmed up it turned off? I can't start it back up anymore! It cranks and all but thats about it. The battery is good and i'm guessing it has something to do with the fuel? Maybe a distributor but i don't really know whats wrong. Can anyone help ? Thanks

 

Check to see that you are getting spark to the plugs. If not, then your problem probaby lies within the distributor. Either the coil or the ignitor is bad. If you are getting spark, then check your fuel system. Try turning your key to the on position and see if you can hear the fuel pump priming. It's like a humming sound. If you can't hear it, then either your fuel pump is gone or your main relay took a crap. My other suggestion would be to search this site, as there have been numerous posts regarding this topic, I'm sure that you will find something helpful.

Did you check the ECU for errors? Check your grounds. Could also be the dizzy,alternator. i would say check the starter, but if it's turning over I doubt that's what it is.

 

First, check for spark and check for fuel. It could also be the infamous main relay. If you turn the ignition to the ON position you should hear the fuel pump go for about 3 seconds. If you don't then you most likely have a fuel problem which most likely is the main relay.

 

Ok yeh it was my ignition rotor. It slipped off a bit. I changed the rotor and now everything is ok. The car does not bog anymore so i'm happy now ! Thanks for your guys help ..i appreciate it
